i have set some goals in terms of technical aspects (some lessons from here, just waiting for my main guitar being operational again), muscially well i am trying to get my relative pitch up, i am starting with simple Fifths and Major Thirds, still a damn long long way; weakness - Well i am not the must disciplined person, i always find excuses to "do it later", i am still tryin to break this habit, the rest is the same old technical cliche ; strongest point - i don't know, i guess i don't descriminate any kind of music, i am a open minder and can listen to any genre without being bother by the labels. Your favorite guitar players - Buckethead, Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, Guthrie Govan, Nuno Betterncourt, listen cool go on, but i think those are the dudes i listen the most Perfect! I have a very good exercise that does magic! It will develop your alternative picking technique very fast!!! The trick is to practice it at a very slow tempo and get full control over your hands!!! It is very important to master mechanical exercises you will get great results and will see progress very very fast! I will try and record it for you! Something new? Well my finally objective is to be able to walk into a jam and be comfortable with myself, so i guess i still need alot of clean up in all sections, from chords to lead, there's is still a lot of sloppyness, so i don't know, throw me something, i am pretty sure it will be useful ! Cool! Let's get into jams! I have a very cool blues backing track It is in the key of E So the chord progression is E7 - A7 - B7 Here it is http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/blues-mentoring I would like you to record a short jam using E minor pentatonic scale in this positions: Question and Answer technique will work perfectly! Have you heard about it? Let me know and I will explain it in details! -------------------- |
