Hey guys,
I am planning to buy myself a good midi-keyboard tomorrow (for recording of basslines, synths etc), which also has enough possibilities to act as a controller for several functionalities in my DAW (Cubase atm), as I hate to use my mouse/keyboard for some standard tasks. I have already looked around a bit, and am thinking of buying the Edirol (Roland) PCR-500 midi keyboard:Brochure . It also has a Cakewalk/Dimension/Project LE version bundled with it (is that of any real use for the keyboard over using Cubase atm?). Does anybody have experience with it, or would you recommend me some other keyboard instead? Thanks for the help! Edirol PCR-500 sounds like a good way to go. By all means - buy it. It has a clever way of mapping the controls, and this is (trust me) the most important thing you're gonna wish when you buy a controller with a bunch of knobs that need to be mapped.

Playing around with mapping the controls atm which is somehow a bit tricky, but will figure it out I guess. -------------------- "Don't practice until you get it right. congrats buddy, it is a great purchase. It will take some time to get used to controls, but once you map them, you will use them all the time
