Bingo!!! It's the double strike on the end of each note group that is the trick to this lick. As you keep practicing it, it will get more and more brisk. Once you get going full speed, it will sound like it does in my demo video and it's a secret to shredding ascending bits as it lets you strike four notes while only fretting 3 notes. So it sounds like a four note per string scale which is a much more difficult thing to play than a 3 note per string scale, but this sort of tricks the ear. Well played!
