That will be cool - As I think punk style has evolved more into the alternative rock scene than, say Heavy Metal or Speed Metal, and there are zillions of lessons on those already here. The cool thing about punk is technique wise it is somewhat less techinical than other genres(but fast).
Deadline - I am more into alternative rock which includes the not so hardcore punk stuff and believe it or not, what has been helping me a lot lately is working on 16th note Funk Strumming techniques(Ivan has some good lessons on it), even though I have no desire to play funk. Funk uses clean guitar settings and isolating the higher strings to get that signature sound, but if you take the same fast strumming technique with muting strums and apply it to your barre chords, and add some distortion, you will find it will really help your playing of punk/alternative rock,
