I've been practicing the ear trainer a lot recently, about 45 minutes per day. I've always known my ear wasn't that good, but I still have trouble hearing the difference between major and minor thirds. I get about 70% when I only have major and minor thirds, wich feels like it's far from good enough. So what I'm wondering is basically, is this something that takes years to train or does this happen faster? Major 3rd = OH WHEN THE SAINTS, major triad Minor 3rd = CRUSH OF LOVE (Satriani), minor triad If you practice every day it will soon become 100% especially if you play it back couple of times, try to sing it and identify it using a song !
