> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Gert!

To improve your playing, you need first to apply the explanations from our feedback. So, I'm here just to grade this take.

You get a 5 from me. Keep on practicing!

You have a solid sense of the "groove" of this track and I think you are starting to make progress! There are several things that can be changed/improved per previous feedback as Monica mentioned. Don't let this throw you off. Its just part of the process.

I wanted to suggest that you try to move the guitar into "classical" position, placing it on your left leg. This position is closer to what you will be doing when you start playing while standing up. Playing "side saddle" as you are now, can actually get in the way of progress. Some folks just play in classical position, but many find it really helps, especially long term.

This one gets a 6 from me and I'm looking forward to the next one!

Todd

Nice!

This one would be improved if you grooved along a bit more to 'lock in' with the groove. In plain English this means tapping your foot and grooving along with the music.

I think the reason you are not able to do it here is because you are still struggling with syncing your hands and fretting the chords notes in time. So you could use a bit more practicing here.

It's a 7 from me - keep up the great work. Your progress is amazing!
