QUOTE (Steve)
I'm new to GMC and was wondering if anyone knew different scales or blue notes that Vito Bratta used in the Band White Lion?
I've only used the ionian, mixolydian, and lydian modes to get his feel but he employs many different techniques in his playing style.
If someone could help it would make my day.
I am a big fan of Brattas work from the "Pride" album.
Short analysis of his style: Van Halen technique based heavily on chord tones. In other words both fast and slow passages are based mostly upon arpeggio triads.
Since the songs have have really stong chord progressions this results in awe-sounding solos. -> Vitto da MAN!!
