First of all spend a lot of time on just jamming together to get along with each other - it's very important! Also - it is a great advantage if all of you listen to same bands and have same influences!
Don't rush into making songs. Also work on playing AS A BAND - not each member for himself. If you start making a song - you should also practice at home and not only on rehearsals - it's like homework. Each member woks on his own part of song - his own instrument line and there is a rehearsal to check if it works fine and correct some mistakes and stuff like that.... Good luck and have fun with the band! -------------------- "It isn't how many years you have been playing, it's how many hours." -- Prashant Aswani "PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!" -- Michael Angelo Batio Check out my video lessons and instructor board! |

I have another question Guitar notes is that anything I should learn? Tabulature is helpful but be aware some of is incorrect. Can someone of you sing? Dang, then you've got a power trio :-) -------------------- My bands homepage
All time favourites: B. Streisand - Woman in Love, M. Hopkin - Those were the days, L. Richie - Hello |

Yea jamming is a great way to not only get to know each others style of playing, but you can even get some songs out of it!
and most importantly, just have fun. -------------------- Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day. Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way http://www.myspace.com/cashnz |
