A little confused with some of the tab though (as in David's Stevie lesson)

What does the "L" mean?

Hey i have a question to add onto Brokestones Q.

What does the "g" mean im seeing it alot in the David Gilmour 2 lesson i can tell if its just a really quick slide or a hammer-on they both sound ok to me im just curious so i can know for future tabs

Ex. B||--10---8g10--------

As for Brokestones Q (Srry if im not supposed to answer since im a huge beginner) but the "L" means its a tied note
I think...... someone will have to comfirm whether im right or not.

I think...... someone will have to comfirm whether im right or not.

I think the g means "ghost" note. Basically in the example above you play the 8th fret and then immediately play the 10th fret usually by a hammer on. Thus the ear just hears the 8th fret before the 10th fret note. It creates a more flavoured note rather than just playing the 10th fret from the get go.

Tied note means keep playing the same note.

^ - brush up
v - brush down

And by the: questions like "should i slide into it or hammer on.." can be answered by watching the videos...they are the most important things on the site after all
