I know JP is up there in the 10 Guitarists and he's an amazing technical player, but I've never like Dream Theater or the solos I've heard from their songs. So I don't pay much attention to him.

I was listening to Pete Thorn Guitar Nerd today and afterwards it started playing similar music and JP Happy song came on, and it made me look to see who it was and damn I was surprised , and bonus it sounds like Scotty Doesn't Know.

AnywY I've been listening to the whole Terminal Velocity and it's great and surprisingly upbeat and fun.

This is a nice song. I can hear some Pop Punk influences here, maybe because of the scale choice. Honestly, I haven't listened too much to this album. I should give it a try one of these days.

I never listened much to Terminal Velocity or even his first solo album. As much as a lot of people don't like Labrie (singer) in Dream Theater, I do enjoy Dream Theater more than Petrucci's solo stuff (or Liquid Tension Experiment), as I've always had a soft spot for vocals and lyrics. I do need to listen to this album a few more times though.
