Camcorder Problems

Mar 20 2009, 05:22 PM	Accomplished Tone Master Posts: 1.745 Joined: 17-January 08 From: Scotland	Well yesterday, I saw the REC program had started, and wanted to record some videos. I took out my trusty camcorder, plugged it in via firewire to my computer, but my computer does not detect it. I have tried everything I can think of to get it to be detected but nothing seems to work. Any advice you would have would be very much appreciated, as I'm getting quite frustrated. Cheers Matt P.S. Do you have other firewire devices that work when plugged in? Have you tried plugging the camera in and then turning it on? And, just like the last one, only different: Have you plugged in with the camera on? Is the camera functioning correctly other than your pc does not detect it? Well can't find the driver so i'll answer these questions. I'm on Windows Vista I have no other firewire devices. Yes, I have tried plugging the camera in then turning it on. Yes, I have plugged in with the camera on. And Ivan, the cpmputer detects the firewire, just not the camera, do you think teh firewire could stillb the trouble? Does this mean you can see the interface listed in hardware device manager? This is normal, and I don't think the firewire circuit on motherboard is faulty. Check the cable.
