Yeah, I just woke up and I had a dream about getting a fretted violin from my parents. I googled fretted violins and to my surprise they actually exist! Since I play guitar it was to be easier for me. I had expressed interest in the violin, though I was surprised when I actually got one. I was trying it out and I started playing metal on it - which it actually sounded like metal. I was fretting it just like metal. biggrin.gif

Then I was like, "Okay, okay, that's it. Back to violin. I got this to play 'pretty violin', not 'heavy metal'." laugh.gif
In real life, I don't really want a violin. wink.gif

This weird dream reminds me of the following scenario.

In the town where I lived ages ago, there used to be this annual folk festival, with people coming from all over the world to play their stuff. The first few years, it was really enjoyable, with random musicians in virtually every corner of the streets. I was in town to run some errands, and I walked by this guy shredding wildly on his violin. I didn't have the time to stop and listen, but when I just had walked past him, I realized what he was playing: Master of Puppets! The rythm guitar part from the chorus.

This must have been around 1991. I don't think he had frets on his instruments, though. cool.gif
