Awesome, that would make a lot of dosh if busking! Yes, I said for busking... It's one of those things I have to see up close (else I wouldn't buy the album or enjoy the raw talent as much).

I have actually come to the conclusion that Jazz is a visual thing for a lot of people. Unless you are listening to Fitzgerald, Armstrong, Sinatra, or one of the other greats. It is easier to like Jazz singing than it is to enjoy pure musicianship because it seems a lot more expressive and let us be honest, Jazz singing is a bit easier on the ears.

There are a lot of expressive musicians that attempt to 'sing' on their instruments. Emily Remler and Wes Montgomery come to mind.

If you don't like this rendition of this amazing song then I might have to question your taste in music and ability to enjoy the guitar tongue.gif

I agree with your thoughts mate. I think that the same happens with many solo guitar albums. That song by Wes Montgomery is beautiful! smile.gif

I am using that Version of 'Fly Me To The Moon' for my ear training right now. I think it sounds fantastic, so I have to learn it.
