Hi,
About me I am sidney.. and live in the netherlands. I'm currently 19 years old, and I study informatics. I tried to enter the (dutch) Rock Academy (in Tilburg) a few years back, but unfortunately I didn't get in (but hey, I only played for 1,5-2 years when I tried).
Me and music I have always been into music. Before I started playing guitar, I played the trumpet for 6 years (which I might add, I was quite good at). Because I listened to rock/metal music only, and I found it very hard to match my taste of music with the instrument I played, I decided to make a major change... I started playing guitar. That was 4 years ago now.. and I'm still having alot of fun playing. Yet, I feel I am kind of stuck where I am. I'm not really improving as much as I used to. One of the reasons for that would probably be that I have been playing the same songs for 4 years now... and it's getting a bit boring. In other words, I need something new.. and I hope masterclass can help me find that
Making music When I played trumpet, I used to play in a harmony, and we played pretty much everywhere over the country. With my guitar however, I don't play in a band or anything. I do play together with some other people... a guitarist, a drummer, a piano.. even a flute sometimes. I'd love to be in a band, but where I live there's not alot of people that make music, and even less that want to be in a band. So for now I'll have to wait and see.
So that's me.. in a very short story. Happy to be here, and I hope I will enjoy.
