Why is this chord a D ? help me a little to understand David rolleyes.gif ...

- Firs i checked if it was a triad, but there is no root note here ????? sad.gif

Nothing in the chord indicates that it's a D chord since there is no D played in the chord.
However, if we put a D on the bass, what we have in order of apearance is:

Maj3rd,
min7,
Maj3rd
5th

So if you play a D on bass, we'll have a D7 chord.

Makes sense?
