Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Legato Stamina by Ian Bushell

And there`s the update for legato. Not a perfect take, and I have done better, but I wanted to have it done before facing 6 weeks without an electric guitar :( And sorry for sound going out of sync...my old Mac is almost dying on me with the slightest video editing, so sometimes I mess up.

Hi mate,

this is a good video to have it as reference to monitor the following days of practice and how you progress. The lesson shows issues in many elements which are not dramatic but are the details needed to make it sound professional.

These issues are related to:

- Intensity: Your legato volume is not consistent, many notes sound weak.

- Timing issues: this issues are not really big but put some attention on timing.

- Unwanted noises: There are some open string unwanted sounds that appear here and there. Work on muting the strings that you are not playing with the palm of your right hand.

- trills: those trills near to the end need some special attention.

That's all by know, keep on practising!

Hey man, this lesson is a good one - very tough with lots of position shifts.

Overall I think you did a good job but some of the notes don't sound properly due to a lack of finger pressure so you can work to improve the consistency of your legato technique.

The timing is mostly strong although it goes a little ahead during the one note pull-offs towards the end.

Timing and consistency of note velocity are the two main things you need to improve smile.gif

Hey there!

Basically I have nothing to add after Gab's feedback. He has pointed out everything that need attention in your take. Again it's worth mentioning you already are a skilled player who only need to polish some details. This lesson simply needs more time - thee is a little too much (for your level) unwanted noises and lack of strength in some notes - especially in the ending trills. But as I sad...at your level people will demand more and more from you smile.gif
