The legendary Ibanez RG550 is a guitar that has had a huge impact on the music scene in terms of "Shredders" in particular. It was such a popular guitar that Ibanez has re released it several times sine it's original production. Each time they stop making it, the used market starts canibalizing the new market. People turn to used markets to get a 550 pretty quickly when they go out of production. As a result, Ibanez keeps re releasing the 550. I had no idea it had been re released so many times. It still has that amazing 17mm profile neck that many shredders, including me, really want. It's a great guitar for the price and always has been. I'm still on the lookout for one!
