I was browsing youtube and found this music as an intro to a video. I found it quite catchy and immediately wanted to learn it.

Here is the music

Can you guys help me figure out the following.

1. I think that chord progression is either A C D G or A Cm D G. which is it ? Are these open chords being played , bar chords , or power chords?

2. is it only chords being played or notes plus chords ?

3. is the strumming all downstrokes.

4. the guitar tone is so full and juicy. I use Amplitube 4 but I haven't been able to tweak a similar tone ? Can you give me some tips
to figure what kind of gear and amp is being used in the effects.

In case you wanna try this out yourself here is a backing track.

Any help appreciated.
thanks

All Power chords (Rt, 5th, Rt).
All down strokes.
No minor chords.

A C D G

In between the last G and starting over with the A, they play a 'passing' G# power chord (4th fret).

No idea what's actually being used to get the sound but it has the general Marshall 'crunch' tone and most likely doubled (recorded twice). Bridge pkup on your guitar. There's also electric bass in there. That's helping to give it the fat, low-end
