I'm currently using the older planet waves locking straps,

Most of them have had the length adjustment part broken and I tie a knot to fix the length. They also aren't great for the 335 strap pin.

What is your go to strap that's decent and not too expensive. Also what locking pins do you favour for your guitars?

I used to have thick padded straps with strap locks, but since I mostly play in my studio now I really don't have a need for anything fancy.

So typically I will use the cheapest I can find - and only really use it when my back can't stand practicing sitting down anymore.

I like a wide leather strap. The brand doesn't matter as long as it's well made, then they will last for years. I have one that is padded and it's very comfortable, especially when playing my LP.
I haven't used strap locks in ages so I don't really have anything to add there except that I used to use Schaller's.
