Marshall Amps, Identification

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone had info regarding an old Marshall head I am picking up tomorrow. I am told it was produced in 1976 and the model number is the 2204 Mk IV Master Lead 50 watts.
Does anyone know what the deal is with the MK designations? When I search for this amp, all I have really come up with are Mk 2's and I was wondering if anyone knew what the differences were as I can't seem to find any info on the Mk IV.

The only MK IV Marshalls I know of are the late 60s JTM 'Blues Breakers' amps.
The 2204 amps were 70s JMPs which turned into the 80s JCMs.
It's probably a mkII. Does it have a master volume?

You're right, Ken. I just found a pic that I posted in the forums years ago of the back of the head. My friend was sure it said Mk IV but I seemed to remember differently. It is indeed an Mk 2. Sorry, false alarm. If I remember correctly it does have a master vol and 4 inputs. Also I am fairly certain that it has the cascaded pre-amp. And the power and standby switches are of the metal toggle variety and not the rocker style switches. I'll post some pics tomorrow. Also I am aware that there was some kind of mod performed on the amp, I think you use a jumper across a couple of the inputs which is something else I need to find more about.
