Todd, Fireball - Please keep us updated, I've really wanted to dabble in the serious drop tune stuff but can't justify breaking my bank account to do it. This looks like it would be perfect.

Looking forward to your reviews!

Ive never heard anything bad about them!

I've got a friend on Facebook who has it and he loves it. I've actually been looking into getting one myself.

So far I like it but I must admit I'm getting way more string buzz than I"m used to. With the neck set flat and with low action, it buzzes far worse than my ibanez 7 string. It plays great though. Also, the pickups are the one thing I'm thinking about swapping out. Perhaps with a set of DEATHBAR pickups. These pickups sorta just sound cheap. I realize they had to cut corners to get this guitar this cheap. For this price, the guitar is impressive. If you want to get started with an 8 string I"d say it's the way to go. It just plays SOOOOOOOO much better than the ESP 8 string I sold. And that one cost about double and had neck through body and EMG pickups!! String tension was awful on the ESP, so tight that made bends a pain. The ibanez is smooth as glass I'm comparing apples to apples in that both guitars were setup by the same guy for the same purpose to my specs. THe IBBY just CRUSHED the ESP in playability.

Again, the string buzz is my main issue, and the cheap pickups. But I can work around those things at this price smile.gif

I have picked up my new guitar and I love it! I changed the strings to Ernie Ball 8-string set because the factory ones were way too floppy.

I am tuned to EAEADGBA. These new strings play much better. I did some adjustments on the height and intonation and the fret buzz has been minimized. I was playing around with my EP's title track "Living in the Last Days." Coming up with some 8 string parts. I could probably include it as a bonus track, as my Jackson SLSMG will remain the main guitar on the EP. The next album will be 8-string throughout. haha

Congrats on the 8-string Fireball.

Do you think you'll be changing the pickups at all?

Yeah, though, I'm not sure what kind yet. I have to slow down my spending. Thanks. And here's my EP's title track with the 8-string.

Awesome! Thanks Todd! Sounds like it would be perfect for someone like me who has never dabbled with the serious drop tune stuff.
