However, at root they're a rock band (see pablo honey or more importantly the bends. check out my review of the bends here). Over the past 3-4 albums they've drifted from their rock sound to be something more alternative (though they were always alternative rock to begin with). I think you'd like a lot of the songs on the bends and pablo honey, there's great stuff. There is also great stuff on their other albums if you're into that sound.
