Im writing a progressive metal piece with a structure based around ABA form.. the A section is riffing and then the B section is more mellow, solos etc. My problem is getting back to the heavier section from the lighter one, as just landing it straight after has too much of a change and too larger impact. I hate 'piecing' sections together that dont really fit.. does anyone have some good suggestions to get around this? write a mini section that acts as a joining section maybe? cheers
