hey gerardo,
just one question to your lesson! am i supposed to play the notes following the glissando simultaneously?
i cant point it out that good but dont u play the bass during the slide and then the note following the glissando ? in video 3 this would be the change from measure 1 to 2.
in addition could you tell me how to play the slide as subtle as you do? i dont get it - when i slide i hear all the notes between no matter how soft i touch the string.. the note only slightly faints if i move my hand during the slide much faster than you do.. any suggestions?

thanks in advance!

All the notes are played, even those the ones that are folowed by the glissando. Play them first without the glissando so you can hear how you would like it to sound, then add the glissando and keep the same sound, dont play the note after the glissando too loud.
As a help for the glissando I do this little trick, the first glissando goes from D to F on the second string. Now I play D, start the glissando, but somewhere in the middle I lift the preassure on the finger and the glissando actually stops ringing before the next note, but on speed you get the illusion that it is played all the time. I think taht you should asign some rythm value to the glissando movement, a very short one, lets start with a 16th (we are playing quarters), now the movement: the finger must keep the same amount of preasure on the string all the time, to do so, make sure that the postition in relation witht the string is always the same, and that your not loosing the finger, but also remember to also make sure to dont press more than you were already pressing, then the most important WHEN DOING THE GLISSANDO DON'T KEEP THE THUMB ON THE BACK OF THE NECK IT WILL DRAG YOUR HAND BACKWARDS.
In vid "3" I got a Gm7 chord that I play woth an arp motion, the target is the top note (Bb), this note is played on time, so the others are played just before time, but after the glissando so the hand is in position.
Hope this cna be of any help for you, thanks for asking. Keep in touch.
