So I finally got my fret leveling done! was sort of nervous as it was the first time on a near 20 year old guitar tongue.gif

Been playing for a few hours now at home and all is good smile.gif took him around 3-4 hours with the coffee breaks and chat, as I've known him for a while now I'm sure he put extra attention cause he really got tired (not an easy job). Nice comment was frets weren't as bad as I thought, he said it was like a 3-4 year old guitar rather than a 20, my touch is very light and I guess that helped the frets survive so long.

I also made him install a very affordable custom trem. stopper (has a big bolt). It did affect the tone, overall a little more responsive now as there is no "wiggling" floyd anymore smile.gif it dives nice and strings don't go flat when bending.

Congrats mate smile.gif What sort of guitar did you say this was? Show us some pics with the 'before and after' and that trem too, if you'd like wink.gif I'm curious, how much for the fret leveling?

It's my ibanez rg;

Feels more solid than it looks smile.gif There is a tiny "tick" sound when trem. comes back to place but hard to hear from the amp. Maybe later I'll place a soft material to the tip of the bolt if I notice it on recordings which isn't a big deal.

After increasing the spring pressure from the spring tree, sustain got serious smile.gif

Prices are very affordable where I live, everything including new strings cost me around 45 dolars, I know in Istanbul only the fret job can be 75 dolars.
