Well im sorry to have to tell you but your all wrong. Its not the wood or the pick-ups or the strings or cable or any of that that gives a guitar its unique sound. Its your unique power of ROCK!!!!!!!!!! the energy flows into the guitar and it sounds better if you start to feel it more !! There is a little something in that - if you are feeling a piece, and the sound you are making inspires you , you will play a lot better - maybe it IS the power of rock -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

I definately think that energy can be transmited through human body onto the guitar itself, and then into music. It`s just a matter of prooving it, but I saw it on others and experienced it a number of times, so there must be something in it.

I was away for the weekend and just came back to find all these posts!
It's good to confirm that even though they are not acoustic guitars the wood still affects and creates the sound of each guitar. It makes sense too, why would they use high quality wood on guitars otherwise! Thanks all for your replies -------------------- Guitars:

Fkalich, (or any other person who reads this) do you also own, by any chance, any epiphone Les Paul?
I wonder if there's a big difference in the quality of the sound between the epiphones and the gibsons. I mean, I guess there must be a difference, given the price difference between epiphone and gibson, but does the epiphone more or less produce the same kind of "LP" sound? And also: Is there a big difference between the sound of a LP and a SG? They both have humbuckers, that's why I think they might be similar. Though I guess the LP has more sustain, because of the wood and it's thickness. Any feedback much appreciated! Thanks -------------------- Guitars:

I think one of the most overlooked things for making a guitar sound great is perfect tuning. Even if one string is a tiny bit off, it could totally ruin your sound.

A Triple Rectifier would help anyone's tone
But do you seriously believe cables have such and importance? As long as they are made for instruments they're all the same IMHO. |

I agree, my brother has an Pattrick Eggle Custom(1992 model) with wood from the rainforrest ,
He compared it with another Pattrick Eggle Custom that was newer and had an other type of wood. And ofcause his model made the best sound , but i have heard that it is illegal to have guitar and other things made of wood from the rainforrest, it that true? -------------------- My Gear:
