Guys and gals, I am thrilled to present my latest addition to the guitar family, a 1979 mint condition Yamaha FG 365 S acoustic guitar. It is a bit modded, by having a Fishman preamp installed, refretting plus new keys and nut.

I payed about 700 bucks on the whole deal, case included - I honestly don't think you can get an acoustic that plays and sounds this good for this money.

Video coming up soon, but in the mean time, check out the specs and a pic:

Sweet!!!
I have a mid 70's Yam Acoustic too, what a beautifully mellow sounding instrument! I was going to install a pre-amp on mine but i really don't like the idea of cutting into this one!

Nice Cosmin. I have a 78 Yamaha SG2000 it's an awesome guitar, they were really putting out some amazing instruments in those years probably better than gibson at the time.

A great guitar for a great price. Those go for at least double that here now. Folks are starting to realize that the older Yamaha's are maturing very nicely. You basically have a D-28 there! I'm jealous. Enjoy her.

Wow, what a beauty! Congrats, Cosmin! Yamaha made a great guitars in 70s/80s. I love my SG 510 - really killer sounding instrument.

Btw Cosmin, do you recognize this axe? smile.gif
