Randall 2x15 Guitar Cab?, Anyone Tried This? Options

I came across a very spiff looking Randall Guitar cab that houses 2 x 15 inch guitar voiced drivers that is meant to pair with a 4x12 for low end reinforcement especially for 7, 8 and 9 string guitars. I must say I WANT ONE! Has anybody ever, ever, ever, tried a cab like this? The closest I have come is using my 15 Bass Combo amp on my 7 string. I finally blew the amp on it though so its dead now. ;(

Randall used to have a cab with two 12" speakers and a single 15" speaker. Looks like they dropped that for this one. I do wonder if this is just a marketing ploy though. I say this because some of the best bass cabs are 4 x10's, and of course the grand daddy of all bass cabs is an 8 x 10. I'm no expert on bass cabs, but it seems like speaker diameter doesn't produce the results we expect it to

The rule of thumb in the car audio world is a 15" doesn't struggle as much getting deeper due to the size of the magnets/drivers. But they also look at the air it can push due to surface area. The 10" will be really tight and quick sounding so its pretty accurate with sound just doesn't get as low 1 on 1 with the 15". When you toss math in it, (2)15" = 30" surface area and (4)10" = 40" surface area so you will push more air and get more vibrations from it.

From being bigger into this when I was younger its mainly all in the box and ports. I had (4) 12" speakers in my car in a sealed box and it sounded great with blast beats because it was so clean an accurate in sound. I also had a box that was 14 cubic feet and was ported to 37hz. It had (2) 15" speakers and well I could rattle the entire garage on a single bass note. If I had the right song and close the car up you can see the air pressure from the doors flexing. So I feel it deals with everything not just the size. I know at one point the loudest vehicle was a Ford Bronco by Team Gates, it had (48) 10" square speakers in it. It was pretty crazy.

And now I just have a single failing 15" speaker in my car that needs replaced but its not worth it. Rather buy guitar gear!
