well,I don't like the active pups in my hellraiser( they don't have any finesse)
I have searched and can't seem to find any comparisons that I need- wich is
1. as much gain as possible as I am a Metal head
2. but the more dynamics you have, make the heavy parts more intense( volume/tonal changes throughout)
3.brigde-humbucker with tap.---neck the same

so ,is this to tall of an order, or do you GMCers have the answer for me thanks
Chris

The problem is I believe in your amp and processor, not the pickups. That Laney amp is AOR? I don't believe it is suitable for modern rock tones. The processor won't get your far on anything as well.

I advise that you consider changing the amp if it isn't distortion that you like. It may seem like a big step, but you can be very satisfied in the end. What I recommend is using only the amp for creating the distortion you need, and you use multiFX processor in FX loop, without distortion, only for effects.

Go into the store, bring your guitar with you, and use your guitar on some metal amps in the store. Say you are serious buyer and want to test out the amps. The amps that you should check out are Peavey 6505, 6505+, JSX, XXX, Bogner Alchemist series, Engl heads and combos. These amps can all be interesting to you.
