Aint it though? Same neck as your spiff ibby. With a bit of vines and such on the front smile.gif Not to mention probably costs triple or more. So pound for pound I'd probably take yours to be honest and just drool over this one smile.gif Playability would be very similar at a fraction of the price.

I have a buddy who has an earlier black Jem with the green detail. Great, great guitar. I've borrowed it many times.
If I was gonna get a modern axe, it would probably be a Jem.

Very nice, but FWIW, I've had bad luck with gold hardware on Ibanez guitars. It tends to rub off in my experience, especially on the bridge and knobs.

I've had my eye for a while now on those Dark Matter pickups in AKRich's picture. Steve Vai does have an aptitude for design.

He has good taste smile.gif I can't wait to see how the pickups sound with the wood. I'm guessing it's amazing smile.gif

Those are legendary and well worth keeping forever imho. The black on green was always my fave. My 7620 is based on that series, but created so folks could get a 7 without spending gobs of cash. The RG7420 is basically the same thing but with slightly less quality pickups. Only visible diff on the 7620 and 7420 is the shape of cavity above and below the pickups. The 7620 is more triangle and 7420 is more round. Often on ebay, folks try to sell the 7420 as a 7620 to get more money.
