, so my wife says ' the dryer has been on this load for 3 hours and not drying them , so I start trouble shooting , notice it is not pushing air out of the exhaust and it looks wet , I take the vent off and there is wet lint mush , so I get my vent cleaning tool ( I have rentals , so I have some stuff ), and start pulling out balls of lint slush and eventually dead end , so I pull the dryer and start from the inside , same thing , all the time having no clue how that much moisture in the vent line , but , eventually hit a wall as well ,now , we have had so much rain as of late, sump pump kicking on once a minute, windy too . I go into the basement and take apart the vent pipe and 2 gallons of water pour out , I did have a tub cause it was dripping , but am shocked how 2 gallons of water got into a pipe that has been moisture free since 2008 , sure four hours of mi life I will never get back , but odder than that is it seems it always happens to my house , every one has I know has normal wear and tear stories .. The thrill of owning your own house

the wind blew in the rain , that's my best guess ( the louvers were in working condition) , the lucky part is the 20 ft line was water tight because most of it is over a finished bedroom and there was not damaged done

We have appliance insurance and it's come in very handy. Our Dryer just died and they couldn't repair it so they bought us a new one. Costs $100 a month plus a $100 deductible if you call them out, but when an appliance goes down, it's a very handy thing to have.
