Teutonic Thrash Metal: Destruction Style, Lesson By Gabriel Leopardi |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi friend, good job with this metal lesson.
Your rhythm metal technique is very aggressive and wild, I like it. It's true what Ben and Cosmin say about your palm muting which could sound more controlled if you want to get a more Thrash sound as I did in the original take. I put my hand a little bit closer to the bridge pick up, to get a Thrasher palm muting sound. Compare both takes and you will notice the difference in sound that I'm talking about. That's the only detail to mark, your take is very good. Keep on the great job! -------------------- My lessons
