Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Easy AC/DC by Adrian Figallo

Hello GMC, Proud to present my REC take for this rocking AC/DC lesson. It took me some time to master it, of course with many thanks to Monica, who has provided me great guidance! It was fun playing this lesson!n Now ready to move on with a new lesson and learning some new skills! Cheers, Gert

Hi Gert!

Awesome...that's the perfect attitude that I wanted to see in your video! I'm very proud of you! smile.gif

I will not write a very detailed feedback, since we are working together and you know all my thoughts about this take.

I like the fact that you respected some of the essential elements of this vintage rock style: attitude, strong strumming with wider right hand movements and less amount of gain in tone.

There are some spots where your left hand should do a better job for muting and also, in the end part you have a few moments where you slip a little the pitch of the bends.

You are a very serious student and your hard work and discipline will take you far. You get an 8 from me.

Awesome Gert!

The first part is absolutely spot on -

At 00:45 we start hearing less pleasing sounds - I wonder if it could perhaps be related to low string action? It might be a long shot - but if your strings are very low, and you hit an open string hard, you will get a bad sound from the string vibrating against the fret wire.

Your progress with Monica is stunning man - you get a 9 from me ❤️
