Q:recording Lesson With Mac

Hi my friends! I want to record a gmc lessons using iMac and iMovie but i can record the guitar input but i couldn't figure out the way to record also the audio track of the lesson in the background. Someone knows how to do this?

Hi mate, you need a multitrack software like Reaper. There you should import the backing track in one track and record your guitar in another track. Then you just have to mixdown it. Let me know if this helps or if you need some more info.

Hey smile.gif I'm a mac user and I"ve got your answer!! The easy way is to come out of your audio interface (assuming your using an external soundcard/interface) using the headphone output and then go from there in to the line in/mic in of your laptop/desktop. That way you get everything coming out of your daw with fx. smile.gif
