Sorry for stupid question but - You use midi files and midi tracks of course right? I'm asking because it's not a plug-in for bass but just a sampler powered by midi files. Sorry but had to ask (sometimes the most obvious things are the reasons of the problem tongue.gif

No...I just used it on Reaper like I would any other effect...I didn't know it was a midi thing!! I'll have to look into that now...Thanks Darius!!! I am a total idiot !!!!

For something in between the free VST and Trillian have a look at Magix Independance with the Acoustic and Electric Bass

It's what I use and you can just use a basic bass setting and then add in the fret noises etc if you want to

Magix Independence Instruments

I use drawing tool in daw. You can manually draw the notes...no need to have keyboard at all smile.gif

I use both, I'll start on keyboard and then tidy up and edit, copy and past in the piano roll

4FRONT was my main source for bass, a few years ago. It's brilliant for idea-composing and practicing.
Nowadays I use the Halion Sonic I got with Cubase <3

I use the NATIVE INSTRUMENTS SCARABEE BASS.

http://www.native-instruments.com/en/produ...s/?content=1089

You can drive it with midi tracks or with the cheapo guitar controller that I use which is very handy smile.gif

I have got Trillian and I really like that, but I honestly haven't used it a whole lot. And when I have used it I have used my midi keyboard with it.
