Hey !
Being a little bit frustrated that I'm still not able to have an enough consistant bend technique to record the lesson correctly, I've let my mind and fingers express themselves with just a few notes in a short box. In order to concentrate more on expressivity and timing than which note to choose. Enough words : https://soundcloud.com/david-enrique-20/beginners-corner-bends-improvisation |

Hi Daeron! Great job! This is a very effective way to get out of the frustration, and your phrasing has that feeling, I would call it with a phrases that means something like: "fresh air after frustration".
The curious thing is that your bending is ok on this solo, so maybe this can be your own approach to work and develop your playing and style. What do you think? -------------------- My lessons

Thank you Gab ! There is one bend that isn't reaching the correct pitch at the start of the improvisation (at 0.08) but the others sound ok. I think that it is not so curious, because in this improvisation, I make the same bend and with no vibrato in it. So it's easier than in the lesson where I have to manage with bends in different chords, at different places and mixing full bends and 1/2 bends. Do you mean that I should maybe let express my own phrasing more often instead of using lesson to improve my technique ? I think that the lesson give me techniques and ideas to put in my own playing and GMC is nice because I can work with the two ways : static lessons to be strict and creativity with all the workshop here ! I think that balance is the key. So a bit of each thing will really help to keep you working on different elements that include technique and creativity. Playing lessons help to acquire a technique or to learn new vocabulary, working on your own jams helps to learn to apply that stuff and develop your own playing. -------------------- My lessons
