Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi, good effort with this one. The licks at the end are probably a little above your ability level at the moment but let's concentrate on the main theme of the song which is bending and phrasing. A lot of your bends are flat, which means they are below the pitch they need to be. It just means you need to work on your bending technique more (this is normal, we all have to do it !) smile.gif

I wondered what guage strings you are using.. us instructors are happy to help you any time with this so feel free to message any of us about this stuff.

Also, the other thing is some of the phrases aren't 100% in time and you don't always pick the correct note.. so you will also want to work on hand synchronisation.. again, this is all normal things that every guitarist has to work on smile.gif

With a little bit of work you will be able to sail through solos like this smile.gif

As Ben said, there are a lot of details on which you have to focus to master this piece smile.gif I would start with bending and timing. Try to practice the phrases separately with a metronome at first - slow tempo! When you can play them separately but perfectly, try linking them together at the tempo with which you are comfortable with. When this sounds perfect, speed up until you can play it as fast and accurate the original recording.

Pay attention to the pitch when bending! Don't go further with any part of the piece until your bends sound perfect smile.gif

Best of luck mate, and don't hesitate to ask us anything you wish to know - by the way, I will talk a lot about bending at the video chat this evening (8 Pm London Time). Maybe you'd like to drop by and we can discuss more about bending together wink.gif

Great playing, great tone, great timing.

Only problem are bends and vibratos, try working on them more with the metronome. If you need any help let us know.
