It is indeed a lot subjective, and of course everyone would look into songs of interest.
For instance, I would not classify Sultans of swing as intermediate (at least the second solo). At least for me it was the hell hard Also, there are different challenges in each kind of solo. Take "like a stone" from Audioslave. The solo is slow and straightforward (in terms of technique difficulty 3, maybe). But simply I never saw a good cover of this solo played alive. Simply because getting the proper tones and effect is not that easy.
