Hi there!

I got a question about palmmuting.
I was wondering if the right hand is resting all the time on the strings or only at the time you want to mute the strings.
When I pick the string I slightly lift my palm and when I want to mute it, I put it on the string again. I was wondering if this is called palmmuting or do I have keep the hand on the string and pick the string harder?

Kind regards,
Niels

Heh its not very hard once you get it. When your playing regularly your hand sits on the bridge. When you come across palm muted notes you simply move your hand onto the strings. Then when you pick or strum regularly the notes should sound generally the same only muted. THen when the muting is over you move your hand back onto the bridge so that they ring clean again ITS THAT EASY smile.gif but like all things practice makes perfect
