Today is of course the anniversary of 9/11. Bruce Springstein played a bit in new york. It's hard to watch this stuff on the news each year. Hoping for a better future.

This is about the events that day too.
Interesting story not related to that exact song: On 9-11, 2001, Dream Theater released a live album, Live Scenes from New York. From Wikipedia:
"Coincidentally, it was originally released on September 11, 2001, and when it was noticed that the cover artwork depicted the skyline of New York, including the twin towers of the World Trade Center, in flames, it was recalled and re-released a short time later with the Majesty symbol in gold instead.[4] Some copies with the original artwork still exist, and are now rare collector's items (often fetching prices of $100 and up).[5] The original artwork was based on the cover of Dream Theater's 1992 album Images and Words, which included a heart in flames wrapped in barbed wire. Since the concert was recorded in New York City, nicknamed "the Big Apple", the heart was changed to an apple."
