Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Here is my second take of Modern Ballad soloing by Jonathan Burgos (This time with a poll dry.gif )

Made a new video + track.

I found it hard to synch the backing with my solo but this was the best I could do

orginal: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Modern_Ballad_Soloing/

I used
- Logitech Pro 9000 webcam
- Korg Pandora PX 5D
- DAW: Music maker 2008
- MS Movie maker
- Ernie Ball Music Man Luke

Hope you like it.

p.s. 100% sure I added a poll.

I like it! Maybe a touch of delay can improve the overall sound for this take.

Here's what I wrote on the video with no poll:

You must be in a ballad mood ! Jonathan's lessons are a great way to get into that emotive style smile.gif

Your playing was quite significantly in front of the beat so I would hold back and concentrate on the timing of the phrases. Also, as well as working on vibrato which I mentioned in your other REC take.. try and experiment with accenting certain notes with your pick like Jonathan does. Hit some notes slightly more aggressively than others. He also has a percussive feel to some of his picking motions, so try and emulate his approach there too smile.gif

Damn, just realised this is a new video ! Sorry !!! I'm so dumb. Will comment accordingly tongue.gif

Ok.... You've held back and you're not rushing like before... maybe one of the phrases at the beginning was a little early but the rest isn't. If anything, some of the phrases are a little behind now rolleyes.gif However, it's better to be behind and work up to the tempo rather than be too fast in my opinion. Still, an 8 from me. smile.gif

Great take man!

Not much to add to the above. I like your sound and I think you could've used a bit of delay but that has been said as well smile.gif
