I wonder if it's my idea, something totally subjetive, but when I watch those videos I feel that the quality of those guitars is not top level. What do you think?
I've tried new gibsons recently (2016, 2016) and I could confirm that the quality is not even close to mine which has been made in 1991. This is something very known and discussed, but I just wanted to say that this new 2018 don't look like an exception... -------------------- My lessons

This is interesting - what was it more specifically that felt/was low quality? In many cases, bad tuning, low quality tuners, and wood that felt cheap. I honestly couldn't believe that I was playing a USA Gibson guitar and that was that bad. On the other hand, my Gibson Les Paul studio is one of the best guitars that I've played in any sense. -------------------- My lessons

Glad to hear they're still in business, I believe I heard they had filed for bankruptcy a few months ago!

Glad to hear they're still in business, I believe I heard they had filed for bankruptcy a few months ago! Gibson, the consumer electronics parent company, filed for *protection from* bankruptcy a few months ago. Gibson, the guitar company, which is a subsidiary of that parent company, is quite healthy financially. -------------------- Cyber-industrial music and video animations:

It's also commonly misinterpreted that they're discontinuing many of their classic models. Also not true. They are getting rid of the bullshit versions of those models i.e., robo tuners, multi tap pkups with multiple switches and pull pots, etc.
Gibson is doing what they should have done starting 25 years ago ... sticking with what they know. -------------------- - Ken Lasaine
