Dealing With Distortion, Lesson By Ben Higgins |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi again mate!
Once again your playing here is very good! You can keep your timing tight, and change chords smoothly all along the take. I also think that your palm muting sounds good here. This means that you are dealing with distortion very well. I only note that your guitar has some tuning issues so some chords doesn't sound well. Please check out if this is a problem with your guitar tuning, or if it's because your guitar has old strings or needs to be set by a professional. Ok mate, keep on the hard work! -------------------- My lessons

Yeah! This is rocking!
Aside from the slight tuning issue this is a very good take. You are feeling it and playing in time. Well done, you get a 9 from me! |
