Making A Band, I need any tip i can get

Also - it is a great advantage if all of you listen to same bands and have same influences! Don't rush into making songs. Also work on playing AS A BAND - not each member for himself. If you start making a song - you should also practice at home and not only on rehearsals - it's like homework. Each member woks on his own part of song - his own instrument line and there is a rehearsal to check if it works fine and correct some mistakes and stuff like that.... I'll say that I learned from tab and in retrospect, that was a big mistake. If you are a beginner and you have a choice starting from the ground up, go with learning the notes rather than the tab. You can pick up tab at anytime and it is really easy because it's a matter of memorizing. Don't be lazy about it. It takes more time to learn to read music notes and it may frustrate you at first, but it is worth it. If you start right away with notes then you have a huge advantage later on because you can just go somewhere and get some music and read it and play just like reading a book. With tab, you have to memorize the tab and should know the song before you can play it. Don't get me wrong though, I think tab is a very good way to learn to jam, but I think in the long run you will be glad that you learned how to read music earlier on rather than wishing you did 10 or 20 years later. This happened to me except my other guitarist and drummer wanted to help Tim (My guitar rival) for the talent show. I knew we weren't ready but they wanted to still help him w/ his song. So like I predicted they said they wanted to be in both bands and eventually left me for a piece of shit guitarist. So make sure you stick together and take a stand if they want to JUST HELP another band member in his/hers band. Trust me I tried to stop it but couldn't. Do NOT let your band members be in two bands. IF they want to be in ur band then they're only in ur band. You should warn them about this. You should warn them about this. wel, i play bass 4 three bands and i dont feel any more attached 2 ne of them than another, the only thing is u got to be smart, as in practice songs 4 every band and so on QUOTE I have another question Guitar notes is that anything I should learn? most definately, if u decide to keep on with this lifestyle, ur going to get with some people who know wut theyre doin, and ur gonna get kicked out if they say play me an F and u stand there like an idiot also, the whole jam 2 get in sync is a great idea! thats something every band should do not only in the beginning, but as warm-ups at gigs and practices the guitarist in my 3rd band (foxtrot) i SWEAR is the next jh, and me him and our drummer who all know wut were doin fall into sync no matter wut, its all about musical theory my 2nd band (pariah) on the other hand made up mostly of amitures takes about 30 minutes to get with eachother btw, the bass is the backbone, and a good bassist can make nethin sound great, so dont settle 4 an averige joe You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick.
