If you have a stereo system that has detached separate speakers, i.e. the ones that you have to attach the wires into the back off... You can disconnect either the left or right speaker at a time so essentially you are turning off the rhytm or lead guitar in a song. Its pretty useful when you can't hear some guitar parts....
