Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

I paid attention to the feeling and the phrasing for this one!

Hi George,

I can notice that you are focused on making your vibrato stronger and more natural. You are on the right track but you need to fix a little details. You tend to start it too early while it's very important to let the note sound and then add vibrato gradually. Compare your first vibrato with Ben's and you'll notice what I mean. There is also room to make your vibrato sound more regular and connected with the backing's groove so keep on practicing focusing on this technique.

I also note that there are some little timing issues here and there to put some attention to it too.

Keep on the hard work!

Hey George. Solo playing isn't yet so strong as your rhythm skills but for the time you play guitar, it's still impressive. Gabriel pointed your vibrato skills improvement - yep, it's noticeable. That's really great. Most of notes have a proper pitch and it's played clean with jus ta little timing issues. You definitely need to spend some more time on 0:40 and further part of the lesson (the ending) cause it lacks a fluent connection between all notes. something slipped off i guess and I'm sure you've noticed it already while recoridng. My tip for you would be to copy exact left hand fingering from Ben's original lesson video - look, he doesn not move his ring finger up and down. he uses his index finger. Look at the same spot on original lesson and you'll see what I mean smile.gif

Hello George, this is a take with lots of potential! Your timing is about 85% there on this one. There are a few places where you go slightly ahead of the beat. I've mentioned this a few times already in other REC takes so it's a good clue that this is one aspect of your playing to beware of when playing anything from now on smile.gif

Your vibrato is doing very well. Keep going with it - we don't expect it to be perfect, we just like to see a good grasp of the technique and you certainly have that!

As Darius said, with that final slide at 0:42, I replace the 3rd finger with my index finger. You might find that easier than sliding back again with your 3rd finger.

Keep going - you're doing very well!
