I'm sorry to hear your problems.... Well... what is your budget and for what are you planning to use the amp?

My advice would be to go to your local dealer and try all the Marshalls that he offers, and then pick the one that you like most. Don't just go for a model that you like and buy it online (or wherever) without playing that amp, cause Marshalls have the tendency to sound very different from one amp to the other.

I plan on spending between 1,000-1,500 for an amp. Im going to hook the amp to 2cabs 4x12" and run my GT8 through it. Are you also planning on using the amp models and distortion effects of the GT8, and not the amps own distortion? Or are you planning on using just the effects (delay etc.) of the GT8? -------------------- Gear:

I plan on spending between 1,000-1,500 for an amp. Im going to hook the amp to 2cabs 4x12" and run my GT8 through it. Wow, 2 cabs... that is a lot of power man. Try some 100Watters with one cab first, don't know for what you are using those, but just as an advice, 2 cabs are mainly for gigs at large venues. One 4x12" cabinet is powerfull enough on it's own, but as Marcus said, try before you buy This post has been edited by Milenkovic Ivan: Mar 20 2008, 04:00 PM -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Yeah, always try before you buy, but in that price range a good place to start would be something like a Marshall DSL 2000 or JCM 800

I would definitely go on the JCM2000 series because they have an effects loop so he can plug in GT8 in there.
