But only because I've found out about a method of practicing called "21 day method" The whole purpose of the method is that you play a exercise superslow, for 21 days. I found out about the method on UG.com, and it seems be quite good... I tell you more when I've finished the 21 days. So here's where I am: Whole notes: somewhere in between 300 and 400bpm I don't care much to find out Eighth notes: at least 240, haven't pushed myself much with the eighth notes. Triplets: 120bpm in a pattern like so: E \|-10-12-13----------\| B \|----------10-12-13-\| G \|-------------------\| D \|-------------------\| A \|-------------------\| E \|-------------------\| et cetera. Sixteenth Notes: 100bpm, in a pattern adding an extra note to the last one: E \|-10-12-13-12-------------\| B \|-------------10-12-13-12-\| G \|-------------------------\| D \|-------------------------\| A \|-------------------------\| E \|-------------------------\| et cetera. Sixteenth Note Triplets: about 60bpm, in a 2 string pattern: E \|-------------------\| B \|-------------------\| G \|-------------------\| x4 D \|----------12-------\| A \|-10-12-13----13-12-\| E \|-------------------\| followed by E \|-------------------\| B \|-------------------\| G \|-------------------\| x4 D \|----------13-------\| A \|-10-12-13----13-12-\| E \|-------------------\| where I switch from index-middle-ring-middle-ring-middle to index-middle-slide middle-ring-middle-middle I also do stuff lower on the fretboard, and different patterns, variations on these, etc, but the 10-12-13 kind of thing is basically my standard measuring tool, if you will, for when I want to test my speed.
