A little background informations:Started playing guitar back in 2002. I was mainly self-taught until 2005 when i got my first guitarlessons, I can't remember that i learned that much really. The teacher showed me the Caged-method etc etc.. But i think that it was my lack of interest that was the main thing that caused the lessons, to me, feel like a waste of money. But i remember pretty much of the practical things he taught me, so i gained some knowledge out of it
Then i attended 2 year music education, where i learned alot. But im sad to say that I haven't mastered the theory ...yet
Music that i like:This is a very tricky question. Nowadays i listen to everything that's good.
Influences:this is a bit more resonable question
Andy Timmons
Guthrie Govan
Eric Johnson
Alex Hutchings
Ritchie Blackmore
Jack Thammarat
Randy Rhoads
Tony Iommi (Used to love to listen to his blues/jazz -ish jam on Wicked World on the "Live at Last" album)
John Huldt (Love his creative phrasing)
Favourite songs:Guthrie Govan (The whole Erotic Cakes album)
Andy Timmons - Super 70s and Electric Gypsy
Eric Johnson - Manhattan
Opeth - Benighted, Face of melinda, Blackwater Park
Deep Purple - Lazy
Goals:- Better Bending and Vibratos
- Better control over the fretboard
- Theory ( I'll try, i promise
)
- Alternate/Hybrid/Economy picking
- New ideas in my phrasing
- Arpeggios
Weaknesses:- The main weakness that sort of followed me a bit here and there since i started playing guitar was that I many times learned solos and/or songs without really thinking deeper into what I was really playing.
- My lack of intrest in theory.
- My alternate picking
