Hey guys! I know that many of you already have sons so you don't need to imagine them but for the ones that feel that it's not the moment yet, I would like to ask.. how do you imagine your sons? maybe music fans? guitar players? singers? doing something not related to music?

My girlfriend said today that she wants one like this one... tongue.gif

Ha, ha, ha .
In reality you'll find that your kid will tell you what he or she wants to wear. Generally based on what they see in stories ... hence the little bear and princess outfits.

*My son may favor Spiderman and dinosaur shirts but he can also tell you what a Telecaster is.

My son will be what he wants to be, but his father will most likely take care of having the important things surround him: Music and musical instruments, books, nature, culture, martial arts, good food and a lot of love smile.gif And swords laugh.gif

When my son was born, I had 1 plan for him, to be a football GAWD! Even tried to push him in that direction. To my absolute horror, he never developed a liking for the game. At the age of 4 we started him in piano lessons with a woman that taught The Suzuki method. Except for setting up a college fund, it was the best thing we could have ever done for him in retrospect.

By the time he was in high school he played piano in the jazz band then switched to trombone his senior year, tuba in the marching band, the drumset in the percussion band and sang in the chorus. For fun he plays guitar and bass.

When he graduated he was given a chance to audition at Berklee in Boston for tuba and was accepted and given $100,000 in scholarship money per year, unfortunately, the cost to send him there was $60,000 per semester and we were $20,000 short for a 4 year education, regardless I was as proud as I could be if he had been on the football field. He enrolled at the University of South Carolina on scholarship, and is now in his 2nd semester as a freshman and has already achieved splitting 1st chair in the orchestra for tuba.

He wishes to go into music performance, but realizes that is the winning lottery ticket for classical musicians, so he is gearing himself towards teaching, with the hope of performance.

The music he listens to is crazy insane metal like Fall of Troy and Protest the Hero, and that is the stuff he enjoys picking out on the guitar.

Sorry for the long boring post, but when i think about my boy, i gush with pride. I wish I had 1/10th of the kids talent. I am extremely proud of him and so looking forward to him moving home in another month for summer break, where like a slave driver, I will have him chained behind Logic Pro programming drum beats for me.

This is awesome!!!

Pay particular attention to the headbanger at 3:19 trying to start a mosh pit!

Then the groupie trying to rush the stage at 4:20, until her mom grabs her hand.

Awesome collaboration by Guthrie! I didn't know this one! Are there more songs like this one? More uncommon collabs by him?

Yeah Gabe - Guthrie did collaborate with quite a lot of artists such as:

Young Punx, Yiorgos Fakanas, The Fellowship, GPS, Asia, Dizzee Rascal, Docker's Guild, The Aristocrats, Periphery and Steven Wilson

there are more, out of what I know, but these are the notable ones

Why wouldn't he become a metal fan if you share this amazing music with him?? Good song!

This is great, you should be proud. My oldest son is 13 and taking advanced math to get college credits.... he pulled off all A's with his mid-term report. My daughter struggles a bit with math, but that was her only B, all others were A's.

I agree with you, if I were a fraction as smart as my kids I would have been much better off now I'm sure.

Congrats on your boy too, that really is something to be proud of.

I just read the back story of that song I posted "Hush Yael." It nearly made me cry. You can read the brutal attack here.
